Ship. Shape.
As in poked, prodded, buffed, scrubbed, x-rayed, and barnacles removed stem to stern. Your portly but loveable spinster has now completed every single examination and appointment known to man and woman, and if the pictures come out well we're good for another year.
Or for a new kidney.
Whichever comes first.
So I had an odd thing happen yesterday. I was supposed to get my hair cut on Saturday, but awoke with a feeling of unwell and called to cancel. My JB was supposed to get HIS hair cut yesterday at the exact same place and by the exact same person, and the salon called to cancel his appointment because they were shutting down due to a positive covid employee.
Yikes.
I realize I'm being completely dramatic, but I felt like the Big Guy kept me safe and sound by having me cancel. One more blessing to add to my very very very long list.
Now that I am home and in the Happy Chair with my afternoon dose of Starbucks, I'm going to grab Pretty Pumpkins and lose myself with needle and thread:
You Got This! I am praying for the right kidney and the procedure will go as planned. There are so many of us that love you, admire you, and are pulling for you.
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord. You will get a new kidney but it is in Gods hands as too when. I am praying it will be soon. Jean
ReplyDeleteAnother step closer. Yipee! Enjoy your walk!
ReplyDeleteOooh spooky! Well that's it - your destiny is to have a new kidney and you are being protected!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a lovely day and I hope you managed to get your stroll in the sunshine.
Our daughter was married on Monday - a plan b in case the original set date for later in the month was cancelled - it was, but we are now due to have another lockdown. Very fortunate plan b existed! A gorgeous day. Skip a day and the 4th awoke to thick frost and beautiful sunshine. Not a cloud in the sky - thanks for sending your good weather over!
Have a lovely Wednesday too.

Stayed up WAY too late peeking in on election results. When I read Margaret's comment, I thought "But what's wrong with a new left kidney?". sigh... it will be a nice but breezy day here in Iowa, plans are to take down the vines on the front of the house, and finish the vacuuming. I think. That was a scary close call on the hair appointment!
ReplyDeleteSounds like your Tuesday was a good one, Coni!
ReplyDeleteIt does sound like "the big guy", I happen to call Him, God, was indeed watching out for you. Isn't He amazing! I'm so glad you didn't go for that haircut! I love the pieces you're working on. I love the bright colors, and your work is always top notch! You have a wonderful evening and enjoy your stitching. I sure do mine.
ReplyDeleteGlad you didn't make that hair appointment! You don't need to be battling Covid right now at all! Your hair looks lovely anyway :)
