Actually cried. This is one of the most inspiring thing I have see in a very long time. I have a dear friend of another race that I love like this. 2 weeks ago we abandoned SD and with mask gave each other such a hug in a couple months. I guess that is why I cried. She is so dear to me and is on the front lines in healthcare but we did not care. I just needed to see her and hug her. Hope this two beautiful souls live this life for EVER. Thanks
I have seen this, many times, in real life here in South Africa, where we have had a democratic (Black-majority) government since 1995. For about 10 years before that, can't remember exactly when, schools could for the first time admit children from any race group - subject to various conditions etc, including the approval of the majority of parents. And this happened when my son Peter was about 8 years old. He immediately made friends with a little boy named Aubrey, and told me all about him with the exception of his skin colour: clearly this just wasn't interesting enough to mention! And at the start of the next term, I took Peter to school and he and Aubrey spotted each other and did what the little guys in your video did: huge, uninhibited hugs in the middle of the walkway, so people had to walk around them! Which was pretty darn quick; I was really proud and relieved. And since then, neither of my kids had had a racially-prejudiced thought, not even once. So, it can be done. My country had a more horrifying history than yours, and we're not perfect by any means, but we are getting there and most people are trying to do the right things. Thank you for sharing.
You struck an awesome chord....Thank you
