OK...SO THE STAINS ARE GONNA STAY

I tried all of the remedies y'all suggested as well as a few I found online.

The stains didn't so much as budge.

So I'm going to forget they are there and just keep stitching!

  1. First, RVC is looking fabulous. I wouldn't worry about the stain until you are finished. I am hopeful that the stitching will cover it up. Stitch on, Coni!

  2. The stain is part of the memory of stitching it. Work it into your design and let it hold a special memory for you.

  4. Coni, have you thought about re-creating the stain over the whole piece of fabric. If you can't beat em, join em!

  5. Have you ever looked at the Polka Dot chicken? She intentionally dyes her cross-stitch fabric to look like yours does here. I think, in the end, it's going to look just fine!

  6. I know pictures are not always truly indicative, but I really had to look to tell where the stains were. Keep going, and we'll hope they're barely noticeable when you finish.
I'm looking forward to hearing about Damn Good mugs.

  7. My Spinster shirt was a hit with my stitching buddies. Any more available, Coni? Or in the works?
