Lovely. I've never worked with linen and wonder how you go from stitch to stitch without having a shadow where the thread travels on the back of the work. If you have a moment and feel up to it, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
I've had this same problem...now I don't ever use the darker magnets anymore. Only use "rare earth magnets," which are the silver ones. I messed up a hand painted fabric on a huge project of mine (Mira's Snow Queen) with the darker magnets and it made me cry. I'm trying to fudge and possibly cover it up with some added stitching, because it will NOT come off. Rubbing it only took the paint of the fabric. :(
I sure hope you start to feel better soon Coni.It seems dialysis is still really hard for you, and I'm so sorry.
I read somewhere that if black magnets are used they will leave stains. The correct magnets that should be used are the shiny silver ones. I'm sorry I don't remember the name of them though.
Coni: You are making great progress.

Sorry to hear the magnets are not behaving, you could coat them with clear nail polish if you have some favorites that you still want to use.
ReplyDeleteI stitched that one for a friend a few years ago. I loved it! But such a bad needleminder magnet. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSuper progress!! And hopefully the needle minder poop will be stitched over :)
