CHRISMACOMA

I'm sure that I am not alone in my level of inactivity this week.  The days seem to be spent in front of the fireplace and Christmas lights in a bit of a post holiday trance.  The gifts that I bought for myself from the Amazon arrive on the doorstep and I savor the opening of every box.

(Before you get too excited for me, I should point out that I bought things like Post It notes for my new planner and nail polish.  No diamonds or sportscars....just little fun lovelies that make me happy.)

The leftovers in the fridge might make it one more day, but I'm already looking forward to a quick trip for New Year's.  If I'm still feeling this festive, I might actually pick up one or two of the little mini bottles of proseco that I caught a glimpse of last week.  They're quite small and probably not even a proper glass, but what a nice way to toast in some new beginnings.

Stay tuned for a Spinster Stitcher Stitchy Year In Review.  If my calculations are correct, I finished a total of sixteen projects this year and am very excited to compile a list to contemplateas I start to fill up my basket for 2017!

  1. What a brave woman you are! Putting it all out there in print for everyone to see. I'm afraid mine would be a list of look what you think you could get done silly girl.

  6. I just love your blog! I would love some inactivity, but alas, I have teenage daughters who are out of school and need their chauffeur. I soak in every minute of their cuteness and enthusiasm, and grab a few stitches on the couch whenever I can. Can't wait to see your finishes and to do's!

  7. I love your term "Christmacoma." My post-holiday living room looks like Christmamess. :) Gift boxes that should be neatly put away, opened gifts that no one put away, etc. I can't wait to see your finishes and what you are planned to stitch in the New Year.

  8. Mmmm, Prosecco! Isn't it the best? I'd love to find the minis because then you don't have to guzzle a whole bottle before you lose the bubbles. I have a bi-weekly cleaner and he comes tomorrow, so I'm forced to do some tidying tonight. So what am I doing right now? Watching cable movies I've seen a hundred times, of course! Happy New Year, Coni. Many hugs and wishes for peace and contentment in 2017.

  10. The week between Christmas and New Years for us is one of just taking it easy. Not a thing wrong with that. I've been catching up with the Gilmore Girls and have gotten to Season 7. It's addicting! Maybe I'll take out a little pattern to stitch along while watching.

  12. I wish I had some time off to enjoy the days between Christmas and New YEar. I worked and then worked hard to get it all put away. Today is my rest day before the week stars. Happy New YEar.
