I'm not sure how long it's been since I started this one, but I think it's been quite a while. Think I can finish it this weekend?
The sun is shining, the birds are sweetly tweeting, and the boys are (blissfully) sacked out in front of the patio window catching occasional glimpses of the squirrels at the bird feeder. After a few chores and a wardrobe change, I'm heading to the Happy Chair for a little stitch therapy.
How is it in your neck of the woods?
It's a gray day here in southern Maine. Four sleeping cats are spread throughout the house, providing beauty, their primary role. I plan to stitch the least favorite part of every sampler for me - the name of the recipients. The spacing is always tough for me.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see this finished. When you first started it, I loved it! Hot and sunny predicted for the weekend on Vancouver Island.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet piece for the weekend! Enjoy it, Coni!
ReplyDeleteHave you noticed your piece looks like 2 Angry Birds having a staredown?!? Funny! River Festival starts today so not much stitching will happen around here for the next week or so. I'll keep checking in to keep up with your progress. Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt does! I'd be tempted to stop right there and frame those birds!
DeleteHahaha I saw the angry birds too! This is going to be aMAZe-ing when completed (sorry...couldn't resist)
DeleteLooks interesting. Today our temps are on the rise. Right now at 3pm it is 110 so inside with air conditioning and some stitching.
ReplyDeleteI admire your courage/smarts/insightful action in dipping into your WIP to finish projects. My longest time from start to finish was 17 1/2 years. It's a beautiful Teresa Wentzler piece. So keep that dark piece - it's young yet!

ReplyDeleteJust discovered your blog....you make me smile. Sometimes I wish I had more alone time 😀 Working on a Christmas canvas......almost done. I have finished two big projects in the past week. Trying to tie up those almost done projects.
ReplyDeleteMy neck of the woods is better after reading the last few days writings. Before it was exhausted from driving from Georgetown, TX to Kansas. Thanks, more than I can say
ReplyDeleteToday it started out sunny and in the 80s, that all changed as the day turned to evening and the rain clouds rolled in. The best thing is it's Friday!
ReplyDeleteHI Connie! Cleaning day here in Minnesota with 2 cats and a cross stitch design pin cushion. Love the bright colors of your choice!!
ReplyDeleteOooooh I like it!! Great choice!
ReplyDeleteOh Happy Day!! It was a long time ago that you first started this piece, and I have been waiting patiently ever since for it to reappear! When I saw that you have been pulling out some older pieces lately I began to hope and YAY, here it is! And yes, it is still quite a thrill to see one of my designs on your blog!! Hope you have lots of fun with it!!
