Bird in a Nest
This was a joy to stitch from the beginning to the end. Although I was sorry to finish it, I am so hapy that I took the ride!
The TODO list is in the recycling bin today. I awoke feeling like it might be better to just see where the day takes me. I'm thinking that it might take me right back to the big girl sleigh bed with a library book and then maybe back up to the studio to pick the next project.
I had so much fun working on this WIP that I think I might stick with that same theme for June! I have a couple of Threedles counted canvas pieces that are started, so maybe it's time to get them in the FUPPY pile too!
Happy Sunday, kids. I hope that you are doing whatever it is you'd like to do today. Woo Hoo!
Congratulations! I love how dimensional it looks. All the elements are so much fun.
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Coni! It turned out fabulous. Woohoo! Since we are having people over, my to do list wasn't tossed until I marked off the last item. Look forward to seeing what WIP you bring down from the studio. Enjoy your Sunday!
ReplyDeleteYou did a fabulous job, Coni, and what fun you had! Can't wait to see what you stitch next. I have some Threedles pieces in the works, too. Just not sure which pile they're in right now. I am on #4 of the 'Twas the Night Before Christmas club from Wellesley Needepoint. I am choosing my own threads and stitches.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work - so many lovely colours and stitches in this piece. You did a tremendous job.
ReplyDeleteFantastic finish! What a happy piece and you stitched
ReplyDeleteit to perfection. I would imagine this is a piece that
children would understand and in which they would take delight.... I smile each time I see it....
Heritage Hall voiced my feelings about this piece. It must have been so fun with all the colors and new stitches.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun piece! Great colors, beautiful variety of stitches and special little touches everywhere I look.
ReplyDeleteI think I need to rescue this one from my WIP black hole and work on it again. Seeing yours finished makes me want to have my own finished. (Now to find the time...)
ReplyDeleteI think it's marvelous! Definitely need to leave this one out so you can admire it throughout the summer. Really, it's a great looking piece!
ReplyDeleteLove this - it's definitely my favorite ( so far)! Please, please find a place to hang it!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing it! Absolutely beautiful! I just love how it turned out :)
ReplyDeleteOh My goodness...that is incredibly lovely! So many different stitches.....gorgeous
ReplyDeleteIt is so pretty. It's a bit like having readers remorse, isn't it?
