Here's Aunt Chrissy's piece:
And here's mine:
We're warm and safe and dry and hunkered down with some vegetable soup and homemade bread for dinner. The weather report for these here parts is a bit dicey, but we're armed with lots of comfort for the duration!
Thank you one and all for all of your lovely notes and cards and letters and well wishes for Aunt Chrissy's speedy recovery. She'll be on the mend soon and back to her old self as fast as I can possibly get her there. In the meantime...love love love to one and all!
glad everyone's fine; pics are gorgeous; take care!!!

Hi Coni,
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear that your sister is feeling better. Bonding with you and Stewey must be the icing on the cake. Your respective stitching pieces are looking super.
You all keep hunkered down and stay safe. We're getting that crappy weather here tomorrow! Argh!

The only good thing about having to recover is getting to stitch while you're doing it! Hope recovery moves along quickly and effortlessly for Chrissy. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteThe 2 of you are blessed to have each other! Prayers are still lifting you both up! Kiss the boys on the head for me!

I can't tell you how many times stitching has seen me through a recovery. It would take my mind off my pain. I really think it helped in the recovery. I'm glad you both are safe and snug and, most of all, with each other. Sending good vibes in your direction.

I'm so glad to hear you are both doing okay, and are warm and cozy and well enough to be able to enjoy some stitching! Hope all continues to go smoothly for you both, and I hope the "boys" behave themselves and don't get into mischief :)

ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with shepherds bush... I probably would be obsessed with needlepoint but we don't have many places near here that have needlepoint. We do have a great stitching shop though. Both pieces are wonderful. Glad the nice weather because it is pouring and blowing here.
ReplyDeleteNice that Chrissy is stitching through her recovery. Baby Bug Ball is looking good and so is your floral piece. CJ in OK

ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that Aunt Chrissy is back to stitching -- always a good sign when you've been unable to for so long. You are a wonderful sister. Good thoughts continue to be sent your way. Debra
ReplyDeleteStitching is good for both the patient and the nurse! Used it for distraction many many times in my life. Someone needs to take care of our patients and seems to be me! So glad Stewey and Bosco are doing their best to make your lives better. Nothing like a good friend to help your recovery.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from snowy Kansas! I was fortunate enough to be "snowed in" for 2 whole days of stitching and playing in my stash. I am so happy Aunt Chrissy is getting better. And what better way to recover than with someone you love who also loves to stitch! Nice work on both the pieces. Hello to Stewey.
