Progress continues on
L'Hiver, but if I say to myself "Gee, this really stitches up pretty quickly" one more time, I'm going to hide my safety scissors from myself.
Why do I always sit down with a piece and think "Oh, I'll have this one done by the weekend, surely"?

ReplyDeleteBeen there, said that -- at least a hundred times. That's why I have so many stitching UFO's and WIP's.

Hey, that's my line, LOL! I think every stitcher thinks like that, Coni...we are just a n optimistic lot...or delusional, LOL!
ReplyDeleteLoving the WIP though...not matter how long it takes you to finish it, it is going to be lovely!
....you never explicitly mentioned WHICH weekend, did you? So you're off the hook! ha,ha! But, no matter, "L'Hiver" looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe triumph of hope over experience?
ReplyDeleteGo for it Coni !!! lol I say the same thing with every project I start....
ReplyDeleteConi: I am sure 99.9% of us have been in the same boat as you aer, I have a project I started way back in 1999 and still donot have it finished, maybe and I mean maybe it will get done in maybe 2015.
ReplyDeleteStewy you need to learn to stitch so you can help Mom.
Blessings

There is always that chance your prediction will come true, keep trying.
ReplyDeleteI actually OWN this! AND the other three seasons! AND I've done two of them - but not this one (I did summer and spring and started fall and then some kid at the pool dripped water all over it and it ran and I quit.....) Aren't they gorgeous? But they DO take a lot longer than you think.
ReplyDeleteYou say that because you are a stitcher. Don`t we all have delusions of grandeur? *wink*
ReplyDeleteLooks great so far. Kisses to Stewey and Bosco...
Seeing your progress pictures of L'Hiver makes me want to pull out mine. I think I started in the opposite corner of where you did, so maybe we could meet halfway and then call it finis?
ReplyDeleteyou are such a fast stitcher, Coni, I can't even imagine that...and how old would I be in that year...hmm!
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing! I always always underestimate how much time it's going to take to stitch something by about 5000%. L'Hiver looks beautiful though.
