SATURDAY

I really wish I could better capture the pretty color of this linen.  It is a lovely spring/light olive green.  I was going to continue with the lightest purple until complete, but decided to switch to the darker purple for a little contrast.  Who knows?  Today I might start on the greens, which will be almost a tone on tone effect since they are so close to the linen color.

Only three things to do today before I can get back to it: laundry, bedding change, and meatballs.

Onward!

  3. Gorgeous linen, I have been wondering lately about tone on tone. I'll be interested to see how it goes. I so love your musings, wailings, and all your wonderfully articulate and entertaining expressions and digressions!! Please don't leave us, it's bleak out there!

  6. Oohhh...love the purples and greens. Can't wait to watch this one evolve. I share the same sentiments of all your friends who comment here. You are loved very much Coni. Enjoy your day. One of my favorite quotes to help me at times, "In all of living, have much fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured." You exemplify this through your writings and musings. Thank you for cheering all of us through the years! 😘

  7. A day well planned...especially the meatball part. As to
the laundry and bed linens, that you are able, is a blessing, so forge ahead. Oscar is looking lovely and if the green floss is too similar to the linen, a shade down to a darker hue might give you the contrast you want. It
will be another triumph in your body of work whatever you
decide. Have a great Saturday !!

  9. I forgot to ad - I don't think your photos are bad not anything like mine and now I have a new YouTube channel. I am thinking I should take a class at Community College on photograph - should we take one together? You there and me here? It would be something to do after you get your new parts. Then we could have "the people" decide who was the better student!

Amanda ampustitcher and Annie Beez. Maybe you've seen them already, but both are great. I would love to see a video from you, you've got so much to share. But I understand if you don't do one, I probably won't either. Give that Bosco boy a hug.

  17. Good morning, Coni! While you may not think you have captured the color of the linen (cameras, computers, and color CAN be a bit tricky) the piece already looks wonderful from our end, so don't fret. We love you and Bosco, so please don't leave us completely. We understand there will be days when you really don't have it in you to blog (as in stringing two sentences together in a coherent manner), but we do, naturally, worry about you when we don't hear from you for a spell. All we really need from you during those times is a one liner letting us know you are still doing ok. Or maybe a picture of Bosco snoozing. Hope you are having a delightful day!

  18. I love this pattern and am thinking of ordering it. One question - are you using the recommended threads, aside from the change you made from Vertigris to CC Plymouth Rock?

  19. Your fabric and thread selection for this project is absolutely perfect!! I love it. Keep showing us your progress.
