A question for all of you who know things...can these sheets be saved? This is the bottom sheet of a set of 100% cotton sheets that I got at the Targets. They're soft and obviously very well loved, and the fabric has just plain given up.
They aren't family heirlooms, and it's not like they were a jillion dollars...I just like them.
The area of the worn out fabric is very large, hence my big meathook in the photo to show scale, and I think any solution would almost have to cover a pretty large area...maybe ten by ten inches.
Am I better off just chucking these into the bin and buying a new set, or should I attempt a repair?
I would chuck them and get new ones. 🤷♀️
ReplyDeleteThe trouble is, there was no good reason for that sheet to split, and so even if you did patch it, it would be very likely to split again somewhere else. I'd get a plain white bottom sheet and maybe patch this one anyway and donate it to an animal shelter? Or just ditch it!
