My hair and I are not on speaking terms at the moment, and I confess to having a pretty good meltdown about it last night. It's short and not at all me, but I know this is temporary and will be much easier to manage. So I gave myself a good five minutes to bawl it all out in the shower and have moved on.
Here it is before and after:
My toes, however, are a different story:
For a girl who can't see or reach her feet, I sure do obsess over them a lot!
So that's my story for yesterday, Dearies. I am now cuddled up in my fuzzy blankets with an afternoon cup of damn good, a big vat of ice water with lemon, and I'm going to stitch the rest of the day away!
Happy Sunday!
Great toes! And great hair too. Although I also like your usual curliness.
ReplyDeleteI assume maintaining the new do would require straighteners and other tools? My hair has a strong “I’ll do what I want to” vibe, with an occasional “surprise” situation. Like when I went a year between cuts due to poor timing and Covid lockdowns, and ended up with a curly ponytail, instead of my usual basic pixie cut.
I love the new style! It really looks great!! I have mine short and know it would probably look better longer but I have never liked to fool with it do short it stays!
ReplyDeleteI have followed (stalked?) your blog for years and years and years and have commented MAYBE 1 time. Why your hair causes me to comment--I just dunno. I always wore my hair short and decided I wanted to grow it long, and at the same time let it go gray. It was the best thing I ever did! My hair has some natural wave and I never lived with the "bob" very long because my hair looked like a bell. When I started with the growing out/growing long process, my hairdresser said to use a straightening iron. Four little words (and luckily great white hair inherited from my mother) and life is carefree!! I get compliments from strangers all the time. So go for it Coni. Buy a $15 straightening iron from Dollar General and you'll be bouncing off rainbows and moon beams!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great!!
ReplyDeleteOoo- those waves in your hair are beautiful! I never understood wanting to iron hair flat, but if it makes someone happy, that's all that counts
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove your toes. I’ve been there when a hair appt doesn’t turn into what you want. Once my hair was literally falling out. Thankfully it grew longer by the time I was to get married. It won’t take long to get your hair back where you want it to be for sure. I do love the curl you have going on and I really think you look good in both photos.
ReplyDeleteI let my hair go gray over 5 years ago. Best decision ever! Everytime I go out people comment on how pretty the color is and now it's starting to turn white. If you don't want to stand in front of the mirror to blow dry your hair, throw a little mousse in your hand and move it through your hair. It will dry with some loose curl and look fine. Easy and most of it will be getting used to it. At our age, easy is BEST!
ReplyDeleteLove your outlook on life and what it provides.I went to a new salon recently , had my hair cut so I can relate . Love your blog !
ReplyDeleteMy hair was cut just a bit shorter but the same style , still getting used to it. Your hair and toes look good.
ReplyDeleteI like your hair the way YOU do it. And I like the shorter length! Your toes look marvelous!
ReplyDeleteConi, I think both the hair and toes look good. Now that being said, do your thing with your hair. I keep mine short because I can't be bothered with a blow dryer or curling iron. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI actually like your new hair cut, Coni. Both done and un-done. You can call your version the sexy bed-head look. ;)
ReplyDeleteMay I suggest naturallycurly.com? It helped me love the fluff
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great!
ReplyDeleteWe all understand disappointing haircuts & the shower cry! I'm sorry that happened to you 😐
ReplyDeleteI think your bob rolled under that you do is ever so much better than the after! Trust yourself! You have done remarkably well with yourself after all you have been through! Good hard work and it shows!!!! You are my hero!
