The secret is: fill the kitchen and other hiding places with the kind of food that is nourishing but unexciting. Then find exciting things to do that are not food-related, and do them - between meals, of course.

You have just had an almighty session of control, now you are testing what you missed. I don't buy things I like so I know how desperate I am if I eat one of those items that I really detest and then I feel ashamed and it sort of halts me in my tracks. Christmas and birthdays are the worst times, so chomp the goodies and then they are gone! Just don't worry and chastise yourself - because that leads to more munching of the naughty stuff to boost the feel good factor, which then sets off a really mean circle! xxx
