Yesterday was fingernail painting day. I tried and tried and tried to do a nice French manicure, but ended up making a big mess instead. So as I fished through my fingernail things to find another color, I came across a set of nail wraps.
These are from Lily & Fox, but I have to say...I'm feeling a bit silly wearing fancy nails while sitting here in my bathrobe for the millionth day in a row. Shouldn't these be on the nails on someone who leaves the house?
(Please excuse the dry hands. But when you wash them about a billion times a day...it happens.)
And I stapled myself to my chair last night, put a needle in my hand, and started a new start:
That little bit took me an hour and a half, but I am determined to plod forth and continue with this little guy today.
Still a bit under the weather, so I am taking one more day of rest before launching myself out into the world tomorrow to run errands and get some fresh air.
Happy Monday, Dearies!
If pretty nails make you feel better, go for it!! Happy stitching,l. Hope tiu feel better tomorrow!
ReplyDeletePretty nails! You might try O'Keefe's Working Hands cream for your dry skin. It (and their Healthy Foot cream) works wonders for me. Or if you have a Dollar Tree nearby, a tube of their petroleum jelly/cocoa butter lotion. (Usually found with the baby stuff)
ReplyDeleteOff to a good stitchy start! I love watching your projects come to life.
Love the nails and the new stitch.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your fingers are doing a lot of work! Why would they need to leave the house? You keep holding down that chair and get well!!
ReplyDeleteS.
Wear your lovely nails whenever you want to! I decorate mine and few people see them as I'm staying in most of the time.
ReplyDeleteThere's a product called Aquaphor that is wonderful for very dry or cracked hands. Recommended by dermatologists. Available at drugstores in the baby section. It works really well. You'll have smoother hands to go with your lovely nails. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteThose wraps are lovely! Lily & Fox have such beautiful designs. Unfortunately, my nails are too wide to wear them :-(
ReplyDeleteSo I bought myself some stampers (Manilogy.com) & oh my gosh are they fun, & affordable, too! They have a lot of YouTube videos too, & I want to try them all
Pretty nails. I think if something cheers you up, it doesn't matter if you aren't going out. Not heard of those before - it's definitely a fun thing. Sadly, my nails are wide unless I grow them long and that doesn't go well with homesteading hands as I've broken, split and bent them back before now. Oooch! Glad to see you have felt a little better and working on a new project. Hope you feel better soon. xx
ReplyDeletePretty nails aren't just for others to see, wear them all you want Coni! They look lovely :-)
ReplyDeleteThese are the nails of a confident person who faces the world with a warm smile and enjoys her ability to cheer up herself and everyone else by being distinctively pretty! They are the nails of a role model. Wave them happily, and others will follow!
ReplyDeleteI use the Tough Girl nail stickers - nail stickers are great fun! Lovely designs & last two weeks - WOOT! Cute, cute, CUTE new start - what a lovely chart 🙂
ReplyDeletePretty nail wraps, Coni! If they make you happy, then enjoy them fully. You are off to a good start on your snowman piece. Hope you are feeling perkier today.
ReplyDeleteI love your fancy nails! My favorite hand cream is CeraVe in the jar. It works wonders!
ReplyDeleteIf your nails make you smile, the wraps have done their job! You have such a pretty shape to your nails! I can never get my two hands to have similar nail shapes...Rest and recover today! The world will still be there tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteOooh! love the new start! The nails look great too :)
ReplyDeleteMy nail day is the best 1.5 hours of my month Something just for me. Look at them and love them. They look fresh and springy, just what we all need as the winter wears on. Peace.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the nails!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your nails ~ whether you leave the house or not! Didn't the housewives of the 40s and 50s put on their best dresses and heeled shoes to sew the afternoon away? LOL. I love the new start!
