Dearies, I am back up in my room, but without a new kidney unfortunately. They got me to the operating room and knocked me out and got everything ready to go, but as Dr Goggins was doing his final exam of the new kidney, he discovered a major clot and we had to abort the surgery.
I'm actually fine. A bit groggy and my neck is a little sore from the central line they inserted (an IV directly to the heart), but otherwise still very peaceful and grateful.
That wasn't my kidney after all.
So we've had a good dry run...I now know exactly what to expect when the next call comes...which it will in its own time.
Thank you for hanging in there with me. I'll still be away for a bit, but will be back soon.
Love,
Coni
Bless Dr. Goggins for being thorough and making sure the kidney was perfect. Sending good thoughts as your rest and recuperate.
ReplyDeleteContinuing to lift you up in prayer, Coni.
