Today I packed the hotel bag, toiletries, and the hospital bag. Clothes and tote will be packed tomorrow, I hope.
Here's the hotel bag...in the event that you want to embrace my crazy.
Sippy cups for cold things and damn good, coloring supplies, and laundry stuff:
The hospital bag has pajamas, undies, slippers, fuzzy socks, toiletries, a "bedside" bag, and a plug thingie that you can use as both an outlet and a charger for three devices.
(The bedside bag has stuff like face wipes, hand cream, lotion, extra glasses, etc.)
I can't fit my Snoopy robe in there, but the grey thing at the bottom of the picture is a sherpa wrap. It's basically a big fleece shawl that has pockets. I figure I can use it as both a blanket/throw and a wrap if I get cold. I do have a lightweight fleece robe on its way, and I think I'll definitely take that to the hospital for walking the halls.
Tomorrow I'll pack clothes and my tote. I need to re-think both the volume and type of clothes I've got stacked, and the tote is basically going to become my purse.
OK...off to the shower so I can get settled in before game time! Happy Saturday, Dearies! How is your day going so far?
Love the Snoopy Christmas fabric and that marbled blue! Good idea to bring a light. Best of luck with your transplant, hoping for a successful surgery and speedy recovery 🍀
ReplyDeleteI actually have three lights...a table light for the hotel, a clip on book light in my stitchy tool kit, and an around the neck flex light for the hospital.
DeleteWhere did you get the three lights?
DeleteHi Helen! All from amazon! I opted for the inexpensive led craft night for my stitching table and am very happy with it!
DeleteThanks for sharing your preparations for the big day! Praying for you and for your donor.
ReplyDeleteWell done on the preparation, Coni! Hope the rest of your Saturday is relaxing.
ReplyDeletePrayers are following you dear Spinster! That's the way I would pack! Can't leave anything out...luv, m
ReplyDeleteBest of British luck Coni!!!! You will be in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteRemove the socks and slippers from the hospital bag. All hospitals provide socks with non-slip soles and that is all they want you to wear. Liability issues. And you get to take them home. Bonus 🥳
ReplyDeleteI like your organization skills!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your transplant, Coni. We’re all thinking of you and praying for a swift recovery! God bless you. Hazel
ReplyDeleteJust a thought, how will we know how you are doing in the hospital? i hope you have some way of informing us.
ReplyDeleteI will give my blog info to my sister and she will be sure to update you!
DeleteSo neatly organised and all ready for a stress-free stay. Mr JB can always bring more things in and swap the others. I never realised it would be a month, so you definitely need all those things.
ReplyDeleteHere we had a very foggy day so we built a new duck house (it's a goose house really, but the ducks are almost goose sized!) with oodles more room for them. We now have Ducktropolis, but the other two houses will be moved later. Waiting for the electric fence and in the meantime the veggie plot stuff has been emptied out of the leaky creaky workshop and put in the barn. Next to go will be animal bedding. A chicken house is dismantled ready for pressure hosing and will be taken down to the barn.
While my excitement regarding this is great - nothing compares to excitement for the gift of life! Have a wonderful weekend xxx
Best of luck to you! All good wishes from South africa xxx
ReplyDeleteThe book on Da Vinci is wonderful. Enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteYour preparations sound like mine would be. Better too much than too little! Many prayers are upholding you.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a speedy recovery . I donated to my son almost 10 years ago and he is going so well . So is Sidney the kidney . Take time to rest . Don’t try to do too much . There will so much time afterwards for you to catch up . Lots of love 💕
ReplyDeleteGod's blessings to you both! And THANK YOU for such a wonderful gift and for sharing the news of it with us!
DeleteAll best wishes Coni, love from Northeast England.
