IN WHICH WE ARE DETERMINED TO HAVE A HAPPY FRIDAY, A HAPPY WEEKEND, AND A VERY HAPPY LIFE INDEED

Hello, Dearies!

Buzzy and I are doing our thing in the d-chair and the day has dawned simply beautifully out there in Hoosierville. I had some trouble with a nightmare involving a big huge snake, but I am shaking it off and focusing on the positive.

112.7 was my Wednesday off weight! Today promises to be 112.3 if all goes well! I am feeling officially happy with this little chain of events, especially since I am hungry enough to eat landscape mulch at this point.

I will allow myself a little treat tomorrow night when I watch my Irish take on Clemson, but it will definitely be little and nothing that would cause me to slide backwards.

Here's progress on Pretty Pumpkins:

I did move the q-snaps to continue playing with her, but I might take a little stash bath tomorrow to see what else might catch my fancy. Christmas stitching is starting to whisper to me from its little bin in the closet, so I might have to take a look-see to determine if we need to add a few of them to the WiP pile.

Other than that...nothing new here. If you're in Canada, I'm sorry that you must feel like you're living above the Beverly Hillbillies, but we'll get it together eventually, I'm sure.

The weekend is upon us! What are you looking forward to? Come tell me all about it!

  1. Beverly Hillbillies, who cares what Canada thinks, this is America the greatest country in the world sorry you have to apologize

    1. Oh dear. The Beverly Hillbilly comment gave me a much needed chuckle. Sure we're great but my goodness we have hit a blip and we will get it together

    3. Surely, at least to some extent, everyone should always care what other people (or countries) think. Not to do so is incredibly selfish.

  2. I hope you enjoy your little treat!

Us Canadians are just giving you all a big hug and a pat on the back and a "hope this will be over soon" pep talk in soothing tones :) Also we are all scratching our heads over why it takes so many days to count the votes. Is this something new or did it always take this long and we just never noticed before?

    1. Christine, not Coni - but it's been 20 years since we had this much "trouble" with vote counting and I fear we are in for many recounts. Is there room for 1 more in Canada? 😉

  3. Oh Coni - that Hillbillies comment brought a loud guffaw. Just remember nobody is perfect. Even though I tell HRH that I am!
Now that is weird - I also dreamt about a snake - HRH was checking under the house for my friend and found a skin - he said it couldn't be far away. Bearing in mind it was a tiny skin, I then had to wrestle with my friend to get this huge thing off him! I'm not afraid of snakes - my Canadian cuz has a Regal Python that is huge but I must look up and see. Makes a change from tidal waves or tornadoes I suppose.
Anyway enough of my blethering, the weight count is fantastic. Pretty Pumpkins was well named. Take care xxxx

    1. Just looked up snake dreams - well they cover anything from good to bad luck, sex, wealth, good health and obstacles overcome. I'll take the better options (maybe not the hanky panky)! LOL!

  4. The pumpkins are looking ever so gorgeous. Sounds like it has been a decent week actually. Cuddly clothes, packing, good weight progress, no d-chair events, good checkup. I'll cheer on all those positives. I am going through a dry stitching stretch. Spent more time quilting and reading and can't quite pick up the projects I've started. Meh... need advice on what to do with this current lack of motivation.

  6. Coni, Instead of being hungry (which leads to falling off the healthy food wagon) maybe try cutting up some veggies & fruit with a little bit of cheese and snacking on that in between meals. It will curb your hunger pains and keep you going until the next meal. Having to watch food intake in the WORST, isn't it?

    1. Connie...you saved me! I bought carrots and celery sticks and some lovely habenero cheese and am having that as a little snack now!
