How does one wrap one's head around this tragedy? Praying they can find the skilled artisans to restore the windows, wood carving, etc. Such beautiful memories of being within those hallowed walls. It's spiritual essence lives on. Many thanks, Coni, for that exquisite picture.
I feel so lucky that I got to visit a few years ago. Such a beautiful place, I remember standing in front of it so clearly. I hope they are able to rebuild.
I've seen its beauty up close and personal, but now I'm struggling to un-see the photos from yesterday. My heart breaks...
ReplyDeleteCORRECTION: I've seen HER beauty...

My ex-DH and I went to Mass there on our honeymoon. This hurts my heart so much.
ReplyDeleteMy heart is so sad. I hope that they can do restoration work! I guess that today they are assessing damage to the best of their ability.
