There has to be some explanation other than me being bad, because I wasn't, particularly. I ate carefully and watched my fluid intake, so how it went up that much I have no idea.
So I will fast today and see if we can't get that off quickly with the help of Buzzy and Beepy.
I did stitch a fair amount last night after my haircut, and I did pick up a strand of lights for the balcony and now all is right with the world once again. I posted a pic on the Instagrams of the new do, but will do it here too so that I can cross off one more "accept what you look like" assignment off the list:
I'm not sure about the lips in this one. I tried to draw an upper lip on myself yesterday (since I don't have one), but I somehow think it's askew. Oh well, guess I'll have to practice.
See? No upper lip whatsoever.
(Good thing the darn mustache is there, though.)
(Matches the beard.)
I'm in the d-chair doing my thing today, Dearies! It's a bit blustery out there, so I might cuddle up under my blanket and just snooze the morning away. Either that, or I will spend the day looking at the Pinterests and the Instagrams at all of the beautiful stitching out there.
Happy Futzingday! Here's hoping that yours is considerably less...pudgy!
Your hair looks lovely! Nice and lush and wavy. My upper lip has been disappearing a little more with each birthday. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful!your gair is gorgous & fluffy. The few pounds may just be fluid & you should get rid of easily enough.
ReplyDeleteI've got you beat with the weight gain (20lb in 2 months) due to all the recent steroid shots. Those things can mess you up. The weight doesn't want to come off after you hit 60! The shots didn't last more than 2 wks either

Mustaches are an easy fix! A good waxing every 4 -6 weeks and tweezers in between and no more whiskers.
ReplyDeleteThe weight gain is puzzling. Hope it falls off very quickly!

Sorry about the weight gain. It seems like things will go along swimmingly for awhile and then there's a bump in the road. Hang in. A nap sounds like a good idea for a blustery day. ((hugs))
ReplyDeletePS I have no lips whatsoever! Ruth in Oxnard CA.
ReplyDeleteHi ! Your haircut is really nice, the trick with your lipstick is perfect...You're great 💛 ...for the fluids try eating asparagus maybe ?!Christelle in France xx
ReplyDeleteConnie, I wish you would accept the fact that you are an attractive woman! I recently watched the Garth Brooks concert from Notre Dame and thought of you. I lost my upper lip about 5yrs. ago. Age is the great equalizer.

Love the new 'do!
ReplyDeleteYou look so pretty! No moustache or chin hair and lips, well heck, who even notices? I notice your beautiful hair and eyes. You are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteConi, your new 'do is super. Sorry about the weight gain; hopefully it drops off quickly!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great. At least you still have lots of it. Hard to cover the scalp when it gets to be thin.
ReplyDeleteI have lipstick my hair is very thin. Yours is so lush! Given the choice I’d definitely go with more hair.
ReplyDeleteSorry. Meant I still have lips but my hair is very thin. I hate autocorrect!!
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up! The upper lip in the first pic looks great. I never would have known. I too suffer from the Frank Burns syndrome (aka M.A.S.H.)
ReplyDeleteYou have gorgeous hair and you are beautiful!! Weight is fickle and can go up or down with any given day!! : (
ReplyDeleteI have the same lips (thanks Dad!). Any lipstick I buy will last a lifetime.
ReplyDeleteLove your do!!! And I thought your lips looked great!
