WELL...IT'S A START

So much for my visions of tarting CS2 up for Christmas today. I had a ROUGH treatment yesterday, came home, went to bed, and stayed there until this morning.  I'm still not quite awake, Dearies, and here it is 2:30 in the afternoon!

Oh well, such is life.

I did manage to get a few things kitted up and in project bags for the 2018 Spinster Stitcher Christmas Basket O' Fun:

The Drawn Thread Shining Star

The Drawn Thread Christmas Thoughts Sampler

Prairie Moom Holiday Farm

Janet Zickler Casey Snow Globe Santa

Laura J. Perin Christmas Quilt

Laura J. Perin Christmas Panel

A little bit of everything, I think. Cross stitch, counted canvas, drawn canvas, old and new. I'm sure I will add and subtract as the season gets under way, but for today...it's a start.

What's in your basket this year? Come tell me all about it!

  1. My "current project" basket is overflowing and then some. I have 32 WIPs and 56 new projects I want to start! And of course that does not include the additional new stash I keep seeing others doing - yikes! Love the projects you selected!

  2. Making myself finish some birth samplers for some nephews. One is 2 yrs old and one is 4 months and I hope to have them finished sometime before their high school graduations!

  3. Closing in on a first Christmas ornament for my grandbaby, and I have in progress a full coverage bookmark, a needlepoint stocking, a floral needlepoint, and a Mirabilia angel that is 25 years old and 2/3 done. Plenty to work on, like most of us. Hope that you feel better!

  4. That's a mighty fine basket of fun to be starting with Coni! I'm not working on anything seasonal at the moment. I'm completing a child's quilt that features appliqued Australian animals and once it's done, I'll turn my attention back to my never-ending ginormous full-coverage cross stitch project.

  6. You have filled your basket with a great selection of stitches, Coni. I haven't put together my December basket yet; that is on my to do list for the coming week. Enjoy your Sunday!

  7. Love the Christmas Quilt. Sorry you had issues with threads. Trying to find the pattern. Mostly linen girl, long time since canvas, but what a beauty.
