But today? Today I am...hazy, at best. My poor arm is looking more of a hot mess than ever, my head is full of cotton balls, and I just want my Mommie.
Or my Stewey.
I always dream of him when I'm not feeling well, and last night was no exception. In my dreams, he is always as funny and ornery and sweet and incorrigible as ever, and although I know it's not physically possible...I still smell baby shampoo when I cuddle him.
OK...enough of that. On to the stitching! Here's an update on Red Velvet Cake:
As soon as I finish the paper and my second cup of damn good, I'm going to get right back to this. The silk through linen is just...delicious, and exactly what I need today. Methinks I will take a hot scrubby shower, have a little breakfast, and then tuck myself into the Happy Chair for the duration!
The weekend is almost upon us, so come tell me all about your plans for it. I am hoping for some fresh air, sunshine, pool time, and lots of stitching. How about you?
So glad red velvet makes me you feel warm and fuzzy. Enjoy stitching.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you for the weekend, Coni...going nowhere this weekend, and want to stitch until my fingers hurt! NEED it for my mental health, and it's relatively cheap therapy (altho some would argue it can be VERY expensive therapy, depending on the $$ spent on stash! ha,ha!) Either way, I'm DOING IT! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and Buzzy are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI'll be cleaning house - when I'm not trying to figure out what to do about the fact I don't really like the yarn I bought for a project anymore. Your wanting your Mom really spoke to me. I busted my knee a month ago. I've just gotten off the cane and still can't kneel; the swelling has only just gotten down enough that I can wear jeans again. My Mom may be long gone, and I know I'm supposed to be All Grown Up Now, but the night after it happened, when I just hurt so bad, I really wanted my Mommy too.
ReplyDeleteLove your posts! I am off from New England to Tennessee to visit family!
ReplyDeleteConi, after reading all your Red Velvet posts, had to have it! I just ordered it from Stoney Creek although I am SO broke until the first. Thank you, PayPal. When the eagle flies again, I want one of your tee shirts. Coni, thank you for being you, I wish you were my neighbor (to Mr. Rogers singing!) Blessings, Charlotte
ReplyDeleteI hope you hot some good stitch time today, and it helped you feel a bit better. Your weekend sounds wonderful! Mine will be spent cleaning house and hopefully stitching evenings.
ReplyDeleteHi Coni, hang in there my friend! I'm cleaning this weekend and hopefully stitching. My daughter is getting married in October and there is much to be done to get my little heart ready for company. I pray you have a good weekend. Just a small suggestion...maybe it's time for a new fur baby (or at least a Bosco visit). I have had several for babies over the years and each sweet pup broke my heart when they went over the rainbow bridge but I just can't make it through without them. I currently have 2 nine year old chihuahua yorkie mixes that address litter mates and an 11 year old looking haired chihuahua who we got as a 8 year old rescue from Alabama [we live in Pennsylvania). Wish I was closer I'd bring them for cuddle time.
ReplyDeleteAs always prayers and hugs
Rose
Sorry to hear Buzzy is still acting up. :( Love seeing your progress on Red Velvet! Looks super!
