Has anybody taken the reigns of this and started printing yet?
If not, we would hereby like to offer our services as the supplier of such. We have about a hundred years' worth of experience in the promotional products industry and can provide anything you can imagine with a name or logo on it.
For the calendar...all we need are the images and we'll go from there. We can do either a pinup wall-type calendar or a journal book-like one...you all get to choose.
Pricing will depend on the total quantity that we produce, but we think we can do this in the $10 per piece range and have a little left over for our next adventure or to start a little fund to help get more men stitching.
What do you think, kids....anybody game?
Please send any/all potential candidates to the email address below and, if you have it, an email address for them so that we can secure their photos. We'll take it from there.
Hope you're enjoying your Saturday and that we'll cluck at you again soon!

I doubt if he will accept (too shy, I suspect), but I nominate Edgar of Blacksheep's Bit of the Web!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm, Chickies, do you think Tom Selleck stitches?????? Seriously, I second the nomination for Edgar...he seems like he's a good sport!
ReplyDelete*is in a daze thinking of Tom Selleck stitching in the nude*....
ReplyDeleteGood grief, "mj" don't think my heart could take that! Just remembering him during his Magnum PI days.....
ReplyDeleteDid you see the episode where the lady artist painted him in his police uniform when he was young. I want that picture.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of Jeffery Dean Morgan.
Yes, that was on Blue Bloods in December, just last month! He has always been one of my absolutely fav guys...so much that my husband bought me a Tom Selleck calendar years ago! lol
DeleteLove him...he is beautiful inside and out...
DeleteMargaret Foster, no, I don't remember that episode...sounds like a winner, though!
ReplyDeleteDo they have to stitch, or could they just be holding a cross-stitch piece...strategically placed?
ReplyDeleteLOL! I vote that if they just *hold* a needle (forget the fabric and thread) we can still call them stitchers! ;)
Deletei second the nomination of Edgar!

ROTFLMBO...@ y'all, especially the 'us chickens' sisters'. ;) Love, hugs & prayers, Cathryn ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteOh, You chickies are mischievous!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhile Tom Selleck remains a favorite (weren't those short shorts from Magnum PI almost obscene?), I also nominate Anson Mount from "Hell on Wheels." And, didn't Rosie Greer used to do needlepoint? The possibilities for evil are endless, ladies. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteFor a stitcher I nominate Timothy Johnson who has stitched so many pieces for the families of the Pulse nightclub horror.
ReplyDeleteFor an enabler, I nominate my husband who for 27 years has never questioned, complained, nor criticized as the stash has grown!
My first thought was also Edgar. I love his blog and he does such beautiful cross stitch.

Dear Sisters, I think that is a wonderful idea! I have no one to nominate, but eye candy is always appreciated. If you are really serious, FYI: One of my local animal rescues did a calendar called "Dudes and Dogs", and what a success it was. ( I bought 10 copies myself.). Maybe a nice fundraiser for Coni.
ReplyDeleteOoooh you chicks have wonderful ideas!! Let me know when it is ready. I will definitely be buying one!
