THINKING THURSDAY...

Somebody keeps making an appearance in my head today.

I'm wondering if it's the time of year, or the flannel sheets on the bed, or the fuzzy blankets that have made their way to the Happy Chair again.

No matter the cause...I'm just happy to remember him with so much love in my heart I think it will burst.  The tears have been coming easily this morning...methinks my poor tired self is a bit on overload and needs another cup of damn good, a hot shower, and then a day in the Happy Chair with needle and thread.

Here's hoping that your very own Thinking Thursday is full of good memories and pleasantness and all that is swell!  Do something fun (or thoughtful) and come tell me all about it!

  2. i love that Sam Toft print - and i loved and remember all the many dogs and cats that have come to share their lives with me through the years - i am better for knowing them all - but so sad that they are gone now. I hope that Stewey keeps making appearances in your dreams - it's comforting to know that one day we will all meet again those that we loved. Keep well Coni!

  4. As the weather cools and you cozy into your home, it seems natural that you'd remember last year when you and Stewey were cozied in. I'm glad you can now think of happy thoughts about that time. Your house, and you two were so full of love that I just wanted to grab my stitching and flit over and nuzzle Stewey's soft little head and hang out. Take care of yourself Coni.

  5. You were so blessed to have a Stewey to love...what a gift
he was..Better to have loved, etc. The memories may bring
tears, but should contain the joyous times he gave you.
Sans regret, Coni, you loved him well in return. Hope
your stitching time today lifts your spirits.

  6. It is a rainy day here and I have a headache after looking at crazy quilt books. I think I will go stitch on my Gay Ann Roger's heart and think happy thoughts about my college boys who I get to see next week. Have a great day Coni!

  7. Sam Toft-----great! In the dogie mode I took my Norfolk terrier for a grooming. Of course Max was a huge hit and I had many offers for a,new home for him. Hah! when monkeys fly! He is our Stewey! I never actually met Stewey but feel like he was a friend.

  10. Your Little was so sweet, and you know you meant the world to him. I understand about missing somebody...reliving the past. Perfectly normal, and so important for our healing. He is sending you his love from Pup Heaven. Every dog has a purpose, you know.
