I had a lovely evening of stitching and TeeVee watching last night, and then it was off to bed with some Flosstube. The trend there lately has been a presentation of one's WIPS, and I am enjoying it tremendously.
Isn't it fascinating how watching someone hold up a piece of cloth with stitched patterns on it can be so completely...wonderful? I was describing Flosstube to someone once and they said "It sounds about as exciting as watching paint dry" and I knew that they were...not in our tribe...so to speak.
My left arm is a bit worse for wear since Friday. Very bruised and sore, but still buzzing nicely, thankyouverymuch. I am taking Tylenol and using ice packs when necessary, so I really shouldn't complain too much. As long as I just sit quietly and not try to do too much it's just fine.
I am really enjoying this and can't say enough about the excellent quality of the chart. It is very clear and enlarged and beautifully printed.
Today is grocery day. I have my list and an armed with coopuns and a hopeful attitude. I really don't need too many things...I am seriously back on the wagon for the rest of July and all of August. I see the transplant surgeon again on August 31 and promised myself that I would be another 20 pounds lighter by then.
So that's the Monday report from the friendly confines of CS2, my dearies. I hope that your very own week has started on a swell note and that wherever you are today is exactly where you want to be!
Take a selfie on the scooter, Coni. It'll make us all laugh. This aging stuff ain't for wimps, but that doesn't mean we can't have some fun :) -p.
ReplyDeleteI with psv.... aging doesn't have be boring. We are allowed to have some fun and silliness in those moments when our health lets us! Xx
ReplyDeleteOh love where you are on bobbin garden! Love it!! Enjoy the day!!
ReplyDeleteI adore Jardin Prive designs and watching your progress is inspiring me to work on my unfinished projects. Thank You!
ReplyDeleteLove the bobbin garden. Hope your arm begins to feel better quickly. Have a great day! --Andrea
ReplyDeleteThis project is lovely. Colors so vibrant!
ReplyDeletePlease continue with your therapist. I am libing proof that they can (and do) help! Hugs to you!!
Should be living proof
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in your piece, Coni! Have a good grocery outing and yes, hop on a scooter.
ReplyDeleteMonday for me meant the start of seeing a therapist again. It's been years, not that I didn't need it, just didn't have health coverage or the money. Too much to handle on my own lately. Like you, a lot is sister related. I read your blog and can so relate to things you are going through, especially the loss of a home. I'm glad you didn't have to go through selling all of your home furnishings. It truely is traumatizing selling them for a fraction of their worth and seeing much loved items being carried out the door. Ugh! "Character building" as we like to say in our family when things are at their worst. :< { Thank goodness I am back around good, supportive friends. (Oh man, thought I should add that positive statement to avoid sounding too hopeless)
ReplyDeleteMy Monday is sad...not sad. My kids (daughter, her boyfriend and his five year old son - ball of energy) were here this weekend. We enjoyed good meals together and my favorite kind of company...the five year old! They came to do things around the farm that I am not able to do. I always feel guilty that they are giving up their weekend for me, but I try to help them back by taking on the kiddo and giving them some alone together time.
ReplyDeleteThat was the not sad part. The sad part is that they have gone home and the farm is back to quiet, except the chicken queen, who is upset because we added to the flock and she has more trainees to deal with!
I haven't seen these charts before. They are amazingly adorable. Will follow your progress to finish line as I bet they will be adorable. Have fun shopping!
ReplyDeleteVery nice stitchery and great progress. I really like the contrast of it without being too bold.
ReplyDeleteI love this project. It is going on my wish list.
ReplyDeleteHaha "not our tribe". I love that! And beautiful stitching :)
ReplyDeleteYou always choose to stitch the loveliest things, Coni, and your stitching is amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou're so fast! I am...so........slooooow...
;-)
"...not in our tribe..." So funny, so true! Non-stitchers are so bored with us, aren't they? Hmmmm...their loss!
