It's a really good thing I don't need to solve world peace or fly anything heavy today. My brain is moving at a pace slower than even I thought possible, but I'm perfectly OK with that and am just...Saturdaying. If I can, I am going to attempt a little stitching...but if I can't that's OK too. Last time I checked, the world wasn't going to stop spinning on its axis due to my lack of supervision.
Holey schmoley....insight AND acceptance of the way things are. I really must be unwell!
Thank you for all of your lovely notes and kind words. I'm sorry that I am so behind in answering them all individually, but...oh crap...you know.
Hope you are ;feeling better today...if not, rest and plenty of liquids!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you are better!
ReplyDeleteChicken Noodle Soup!!!! Chicken Noodle Soup!!! When you are feeling the "ughs" - Chicken Noodle Soup...
ReplyDeleteI agree with Teri except I add juice of half a lime (lemon is okay too) and a few shakes of Tabasco. I know it sounds goofy but it does work and it really does pep up cn soup.

ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely way to spend the day. And you sound a bit perkier so I think you're on the mend. I hope anyway :) It's snowy and icy here so I'm staying in, too. I'm working on my sewing room. Quik note to Teri: soup sounds sooo good right now . went to store last night and got zero soup! ~sigh~

ReplyDeleteHope you feel better. Soup, crackers, and some hot tea in between. And dare I say it, my dr. tells me to drink some warm gatorade to replenish the electrolites. Yech, but it helps.
ReplyDeleteHope you are better soon xx
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Coni! The rest and your Saturdaying is just what you need.
ReplyDeleteSending you a Saturday hug!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a perfect way to spend the day getting over the flu!
ReplyDeleteSounds cozy and healing. Your fire and the snow outside your window look so nice. Here I sit here in FL in 80 degree weather. NOT very Christmas-y feeling. Feel better!
ReplyDeleteIt is great to discover that we do not hold the controls of the world and that if we veg out for a few days, it
ReplyDeletecontinues to spin on its axis without our direction... so
relax, get well and solve the problems of the world when
you are back on track and humming. You are sounding a bit
more like your feisty self, so oomph is being restored.
Just love the view from your window...no wonder our Stewey
loved that perch....
A perfect Saturday.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.

Sending hugs & prayers. Sounds like a perfect Saturday. Take care. Cathryn
ReplyDeleteGlad you are staying cozy as a bug in a rug!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are finally feeling better. It is a good day to just chill out and snuggle in a soft blanket and enjoy. : )
ReplyDeleteBless your heart being ill for so long. God this season will do that to you, I think it is all the stress. Now you need to rest and have a good cup of tea, and watch football when it is on....
ReplyDeleteConi, you need this time to heal, and I'm so happy you are taking it. Of course you will get back to your super-sweet, hilarious, stitchy self, but you've had a really tough year. Know that we are thinking of you and praying for you across the miles. We LOVE you!
ReplyDeleteDearest Coni-I've not had time to catch up on your blog until now and when I read of Stewey's passing I cried and cried and cried. I'm so sorry. He was loved by many including me. In all this sadness I pray you find peace, joy and understanding knowing that your precious Stewey is sitting at the Masters feet. "Job well done good and faithful servant". May you be blessed this Christmas and may 2017 be a banner year for you! Much love from sunny albeit cold Oakdale California!
