(Sorry for the craptastic pictures...it's gloomy today).
The blob in the center under the wreath is actually a cute little sleigh that made its way into the cart during a late night Michael's expedition:
I love Jim Sore Santas:
Don't look too closely at some of those frames, kids...they're just temporary.
I told Stewey to knock on his little box if he had any objections, but so far...so good. (Yup, that's him on his perch with his spaceship and a pumpkin. I'm still moving him from room to room to be close to me.)
(What can I say? I'm greiving.)
I'm going to go soak in a hot tub and hit the Tylenol bottle and then it's back to Vaceila and her beads!
Happy, Monday!
it looks wonderful. :)
ReplyDeleteYay Coni!!!! It all looks beautiful and warms my heart. Glad to know you're keeping Stewey busy too. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteIt's just beautiful, Coni! That's a lot of work but so worth it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt's Beautiful Coni! Your home is gorgeous to begin with and the decorations make it even more so...great job!
ReplyDeleteI sent an e-mail to your aol acct...hope it reached you :)
Hugs
Your home looks lovely! Stewey, I'm sure is proud of you! You've made a huge step forward decorating...and that's a tough one to take!
ReplyDeleteOoh everything is so festive....I am sure Stewey does approve. He would want things to continue as much as normal...is there really a normal for any of us???
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beautiful beautiful. No decorations for me, as those pesky kitties get into EVERYTHING and anything new is up for grabs. My daughter's collection of nutcrackers stay out all year long, so the kitties don't bother with them, as they've been sniffed up and down and pushed over already. Carry Stewey from room to room, and sit and rub his box. I do that with my kitty urns.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful decorations! And yes, it is a process, one that everyone deals with in the way that works best for them. {{hugs}}
ReplyDeleteWhat a warm and welcoming holiday environment you have created, Coni! I would love to see an up-close snapshot of the sleigh on the mantel. Enjoy the soak in the tub!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tribute to you and Stewey. I'm so happy to hear you're making things merry and bright.....and including Stewey in the festivities. He's definitely with you every step of the way.

You have a lovely home and your tree looks great. I think you're doing ever so well.
ReplyDeleteConi,
ReplyDeleteYour decorating is beautiful ! Keep going ~ one step, and one day at a time.
Beautiful! You have made Stewey proud.
ReplyDeleteConi, your house is lovely and those floors just gleam.
ReplyDeleteI guess I am a lurker Miss Spinster. I have read your blog for quite a while but never commented. I am a lover of cross stitch so that is how I came upon your blog on Edgar's Blasksheep's Bit of the Web blog roll. The name Spinster Stitcher drew me right in. I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet doggie companion but I am clapping for you as you decide to get your house all bright and sparkly!! I love your decorations....If you would like to visit my blog you can find me at Nanaland. I am a 61 yo Nana who loves to do crafts, cross stitch and read. And I warn you, I brag on my grands a lot.( as any nana worth her salt should do!) Prayers going up for a happy and healthy Christmas season.
ReplyDeleteYour home looks very beautiful and welcoming! I'm sure Stewey approves!

ReplyDeleteVery festive your home looks beautiful
ReplyDeleteOh Coni, you have done yourself and Stewey proud...your
ReplyDeletehome looks so warm, festive and welcoming. Sorry what it cost you, but a day and evening of vegging out on the
Recamier with appropriate refreshments should restore you.
Just love that Stewey is ever by your side...can't get any
more back to normal than that... Continue in kindness to
yourself. Picture are just lovely. Thank you for sharing.
You've done a great job, Coni. I'm sure you're not feeling very festive but you have made your lovely home look so warm and inviting. Stewey must be proud of his mum and what she's achieved.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful home, all ready for the holidays!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful decorating and a gorgeous home. You did a wonderful job making your home a festive and inviting place. I think Stewey would love where he is so he can gaze on the lights on the tree. So beautiful. Enjoy
ReplyDeleteWow. I feel so inadequate. You have more in just one of your very nice rooms than I have in the entire house. I have never seen a tree held in a container like this. Fabulous. FABULOUS.
ReplyDeleteI understand your grief. I only discovered your blog and read back a ways a few days ago, and already I miss Stewey.
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!! I have no doubt that Stewey definitely approves!! I had to laugh at your typo - Jim Sore Santas...very appropriate, only it's not the Santas who were sore today!! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing with all of us. I found your blog several months ago and truly enjoy reading about your adventures in life and stitching. Stewed reminds me of my dog, Ben. I miss Stewey too and wish you the very best. Thank you for being so genuine.
ReplyDeleteYour home is lovely, everything looks so festive! The tree is fabulous! And remember, there are no rules for grieving.
ReplyDeleteYour Tree and decorations look fantastic. I KNOW Stewey would approve of Mo-Ther's artful taste this year.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of Chez Spinster for the holidays! Stewey is in his rightful place keeping a close eye on everything. After my mom passed away, her ashes were at my house. She loved everything Hollywood, so I moved her to the coffee table for a front row seat for the Academy Awards. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely decorations. Sorry you are sore and in pain from making your home so festive.
ReplyDeleteHouse looks beautiful! It makes me want to pull out the decorations tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks wonderful, especially the tree! I like that you are moving Stewey around with you. When my dad passed away 10 years ago, first my brother brought his ashes home and kept them in his home office near my dad's artwork on the wall. After a year or two, he gave them to my mom who kept him in the living room. When my mom went into Assisted Living, she passed him on me. I feel like my dad would have liked that...hanging out with each of us for a long vacation. :)
ReplyDeleteYour tree looks lovely Coni, glad you are OK.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better today.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks beautiful.
You have a nice collection of Jim Shores.
You take Stewey wherever you want,it's ok.
Marilyn
Oh my! How beautiful it all looks! Your tree is magnificent! Sorry that you are sore, but it isn't surprising as the work you have put in must have been exhaustipating. Wishing you a speedy recovery. xx
ReplyDeleteYour tree is beautiful!! Stewey is looking down on you and he approves & loves that you put him on his perch with his favorite toys.

ReplyDeleteum... can you come do my house, please?
ReplyDeleteWow your house looks beautiful! Would you come and do my house...pretty please?
ReplyDeleteand I agree with the others; you take Stewey with you wherever you go and for as long as you want.
It looks gorgeous Coni, well worth the effort.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Christmas has showed up in your house good for you. And grieving for Stewey is yours to do it however it works for you. I am glad you are up and going even though sore and stiff.
ReplyDeleteWow. Just wow! You are an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteIt is just beautiful.

ReplyDeleteConi, your decorations are beautiful. I must admit to tears running down my cheek when I saw Stewey's daisy box. I think he would love being still part of everything. Love, hugs & prayers, Cathryn
