UGH

I haven't stitched since February 1st, which means I haven't been me since February 1st, which means Stewey, Bosco, and Aunt Chrissy are ready to put me at the curb with a sign that says "Free to a good home.  She eats a lot, but knows how to load a dishwasher like nobody's business.  Just don't ask her to actually empty the damn thing, and you'll get along just fine.  Updated on all shots and vaccines, and fairly housebroken, but ridiculously high maintenance and not to be trusted with other pets or small children, since she has a tendency to take their toys."

Ugh.

Ugh.

Ugh.

  1. Oh Coni, spring is here if your blog background is any indication. You are welcome to come to Virginia if they decide to put you out at the curb.

  2. Whether or not you are stitching you write a great and very entertaining blog. You are also welcome in Texas. We seem to specialize in folks who march to their own drummer!
    Happy Springtime.

  4. Sounds like a stitching slump to me. I recommend a day with other stitching people, actually stitching, to catch the "fever" again. Stitching groups are a great way to get out of slumps.

  6. We're all missing your updates! Lean over to that basket and grab the first thing that comes to hand and just do 10 minutes...get that ball a-rolling.

  7. Coni, Forget Arizona, Texas and Virginia at this time of year - much too hot. Instead, spend summer in Maine where it's breezy and there are lakes, the ocean and lots of lobster!

Spring in Mississippi is beautiful and green....you'd love it here! (before the unbearable heatwave hits!!)

  10. I've had a case of the blah's the past few months myself. I think it was having come to terms with some big changes in my life and find that things don't always work out the way we think they might, or people aren't quiet who you thought they were. From your previous posts perhaps this is a similar time in your life. It really sucks and isn't fun but finding blogs like your helps us to find strength in others who are going through the same thing, or perhaps have reached the other side of the blah valley. I've been getting out of my stitching slump the past few weeks, and how did I do that? By ready all your past blogs, having a good laugh along with you (my boss thinks my mental health may be in question when seeing me laughing my head off when I'm alone in my office) No one in my immediate circle has discovered the joy of stitching so I find your blog so inspirational. I hope you realise how many people you do touch with your blog, you are one special lady.

  11. Don't worry about it, you will get stitching again when you get stitching again :) And I see you have lots of offers but if you feel like leaving the country I will adopt you hehe. You will just have to come to PEI, Canada if that is ok :)

  13. Sounds pretty bad to me...I prescribe one stash buying binge followed and one trip to your favorite restaurants for your favorite meal (may take more than one stop..progressive dining is my favorite). To be followed up in your favorite chair with new stash, snacks and a good TVeee movie. Stewey just needs to lie on his rug with toys and watch for allergic reactions which should immediately be treated with online stash enhancement.

  14. There are many good ideas here! Stitching with others is a great way to get back the stitchy bug. But I have to agree with suduke....a stash buying binge! Especially if you can get to an actual brick and mortar store. Bring a lunch, you'll be a while.
Hope you get your stitchy but back, we miss seeing your work.

  15. You're more than welcome to come see me in Milton ON Canada. I haven't stitched for a long time now that I am into making cards. Maybe we can inspire each other to stitch! I have a few stitching projects on the go that I haven't touched in I don't know for how long! Weather here is a wee bit on the chilly side for this time of year though.
