I know, I know, that title makes absolutely no sense to anybody who doesn't have the pea-sized intellect of my stupid mo-ther.
But she made me type it.
If I were 100% in charge of this entry, I would have started it by saying.....My mom can't come to the blog right now. She's too busy pouting in the corner that she has not had much stitchy time lately.
Well I say phooey on that. She has had PLENTY of time to play around with my Aunt Chrissy and her new BatMobile, and she even had time to laugh her silly head off tonight over my stinky little cousin playing in the water while Aunt Chrissy sprinkled the garden. It seems like she's been in some kind of stupor ever since the weather got nice, so I'm going to give her about ten more minutes of screwing around, and then I'm going to put my paw down.
I mean, after all....I can't be expected to entertain the masses all by myself now, can I?
Still very very warm and humid here in Hoosierville. I prefer to sepnd my days napping in the sunspots and waking for an occasional pee on the drapes. Ahhhh, the life of a pampered pup.
Happy Tuesday to all! Updates soon, or we'll start resorting to more drastic measures!
With love from your pal,
Stewey
Oh, and a P.S. to stitchy friend Denise.....YES indeedie! Absolutley everybody can do Strawberry Shortcake! The charts are very very clear and easy to read and once you get the feel of working on canvas versus linen, you'll love love love it as much as my mo-ther does! Go for it!
I got the song reference right away!
ReplyDeleteAnd stop peeing on the drapes!!!!
I got the song reference too Stewey... now it is stuck in my head! There is nothing wrong with your mo-ther apart from a little spring fever. She'll get her posterior in gear sooner or later.
ReplyDeleteI definitely think that your mom has spring fever! She'll get over it. Tell her that I'm just loving her Strawberry Shortcake. So much so that I'm scouring the internet for the pattern I have to do it. She'll be pleased that she enabled! :o)
ReplyDeleteHi Stewey, when you get to our age it's hard to focus on just one thing at a time. Maybe your mo-ther just needs some new stash to get her stitchy mojo back...I know she likes books....has she discovered the Jane Austen-inspired samplers by "The Sampler Girl" yet? I am working on "Good Tidings" and it is easy-peasy...and if I can do it....Although she is making canvas-work look mighty appetizing...ooh, shiny...
ReplyDeleteSummer weather in Hoosierville can take its toll, Stewey, as you well should know. Just let Mom relax, and she will get back into her (and your) normal routine.
ReplyDeleteAnd "our nation turns its lonely eyes to you".
Woo, woo, woo! Glad others remember that song, and yes, its stuck in my head too, now. Loving the canvas work, the colors are lovely. Have you decided what it will be when finished? Framed, pillowed, etc? I'm thinking its time for me to do another canvas piece, and that one would fit the bill. Grab Mother a book, its too hot here to do much else.
ReplyDeleteStewey - STOP peeing on the drapes! A pampered should be an appreciative pet.
ReplyDeleteSpring fever is normal and heathly, cut mommy a little slack.
