I received a text message from Stewey (he's down in Louisville for the Derby, don't you know). He says the weather is lousy, but his pink hat was a big hit with the crowd. Methinks he's had one too many mint juleps. Damn dog.
Coni - I love reading your blog and especially the stories about (from) Stewey!
ReplyDeleteGreat finish - congratulations!
Did Stewie have the right bet?
ReplyDeleteLove the daisy colage!
Oh, Gosh, Coni, that's one gorgeous piece. You do great work!
ReplyDeleteThis is SOOOOOO gorgeous!!! This just shouts happy! :) I so enjoy reading Stewie's blog (and hearing about you too!) :)
ReplyDeleteWow...this looks awesome. Great job!!!
ReplyDeleteMe thinks you're cheating a bit with the daisy in the center... LOL... but it looks FABULOUS! Love the entire piece!
ReplyDeleteHopefully Stewey didn't steal the hats while in Looeyvul. Silly dog.
I'm double posting just to make sure no one misunderstands the "cheating" comment...it's midnight here and I was just goofing. Please focus more on the fact that I think it looks fabulous, k? Cuz it does.
ReplyDeleteConi - it troubles me to tell you that my Carmen, also at the races, texted me that she had met her soulmate in a pink hat and they were off to get matching tattoos. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteLove the daisies
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Coni, Love the flower
ReplyDeleteConi your stitching is just incredible (and reading your blog cracks me up). Congratulations on your finish, I'm dancing with you (and thankfully for you, you can't see that)! ;)
ReplyDeleteOne word - fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLove the 3-D daisy. This looks terrific!
ReplyDeletePS I think I saw Stewey and his hat!
Whata great finish. I see a whole series of stories for children about Stewey and his adventures
ReplyDeleteI hope Steway had some money on the winner!
ReplyDeleteConi, this blog and your stitching have become one of the highlights of my days/weeks, etc. I discovered your blog a week ago and have spent every spare minute reading it, starting with the first entry so that I could catch up. I felt like the Evelyn Couch character in Fried Green Tomatoes (love that movie); she looked forward to her visits with Miz Threadgoode so she could hear all the stories about Idgie. I love your writing and your dog. (I owned a pair of JRTs, and when you own a pair, you might end up with six little JRTs).
ReplyDeleteI have several questions, which I'll save for another time, but the most burning question of all is: Even though I'm older than you are, will you adopt me?
Thank you for being such a special part of the happy parts of my day.
Great finish! What's next?
ReplyDeleteDid Stewey really trust you to stay home alone?
you mean Stewey went all by himself? did he win money for stash? Your daisy piece looks great
ReplyDeletePretty, pretty! Two happy dances this week? Good girl.
ReplyDeleteHi Coni,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on another finish!
Love the flower! Did Stewey borrow it for his pink hat? :-)
