How sweet. Unfortunately, I read that once the second egg is deposited, one of the parents will always be incubating the eggs. If they're not, something has happened to cause them to be abandoned.
Check out the stupid dove nests subforum on reddit. Funny, lots of photos of nests in plant pots. You wonder just what the birds are thinking (were they thinking?) when they decide the spot at the bottom of a windshield is a good spot for a nest.
