WHY, YES BETTY....I AM GOING TO LEAVE THE DAMN CHRISTMAS TREE UP.

The ornaments are off and as soon as the amazon gets here tomorrow there will be a lovely snowflake-themed blanket/skirt at its base.

I have the damn flu, we haven't seen the damn sun in a month, and I need all of the damn comfort I can get right now.

So zip it, Betty....I'm going back to bed.

  1. I have left trees up through St. Patrick's Day. Now we have a small fiber optic table-top tree that stays on the end table by Husband's chair. It gets turned on right after Thanksgiving and stays on until one of us decides to turn it off. I say if it makes you happy enjoy your tree as long as you want!

  2. yeah ... some people's kids just need to mind their own damn business ... ours makes me feel not so hopeless and it might stay up for the next four years ... just sayin'

  3. And why not? Your house, your rules. Funny how some people just don’t understand that.

  4. Hi Coni, if it makes you happy, go for it. 😊you can decorate it with whatever floats your boat. You have smalls and lots of do-dads. It can be a holiday tree or a hobby tree. Be inventive and push those Betty buttons if you feel like it.

  8. Put a bunch of paper hearts (ack! 1 month to Valentine's Day already!?!?!) or other red bits on it. Then switch to green things for St. Patricks, etc. and viola! It's now a Holiday Tree, not a Christmas tree.

  10. It's none of Betty's business what do you with your tree, and if it upsets her, she needs to stay off your blog.
