My email box blew up with requests for more pictures of the studio. Specifically, it would seem that you wanted more detailed pics of how I'm storing various and sundries up there in...well...you know where.
For those of you who wanted more photos, here they are. For those of you who don't, thank you for stopping by! Have a lovely Tuesday!
I absolutely love reading your blog! It is the first website I check --- just to see what you have been up to lately! Give Stewey a hug!
ReplyDeletei am so, so, so jealous! I'd kill for having stash like your :)
ReplyDeleteAnyone else get the urge to go shopping in Coni's craftroom just now? I know I did. :)
ReplyDeleteConi - I'm in Tucson, AZ. When the snow is up to your *ss in Hoosierville, think nice warm weather in Tucson--70 and sunny today. :-) I'll buy you an airplane ticket and you can come thaw out and help organize my stash. How's that sound???? My stitching stash isn't quite as large as yours, but I add a whole beading stash (read Bead Store size) to it. You are quite the inspiration. You make me want to get off my fat butt and actually DO something. I think I need a cuppa joe--maybe that urge will pass. lol Thank you so very, very much for sharing. I'm actually going to use some of your wonderful ideas.

Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the up close pictures of your studio, Coni! In picture 6, I would love to know where you got those two little wooden trays.

You are a keeper! I love reading your blog all the time. Stewey's point of view is hilarious and insightful to say the least. LOL You have organized your crafting room splendidly and I salute you. XD
ReplyDeletePlease, please, PLEASE can I be you!
ReplyDeleteEven if just for a day... I want your studio, I want everything in it, I want the lovely Stewey and I want your sense of humour...
You make my day every time you post -
Thank you :)
*drool* wonderful stash pictures.Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteConi,
ReplyDeleteYou keep making wish I could either win the d*a*m*n lottery, or just packing up and moving in with you and Stewie! I am soooo jealous that you have such a beautiful space and that everything is organized. My stuff is organized, but it's spread out here and there throughout the house - no craft room of my own to speak of, and not sure when it'll ever happen. I live with the parental units right now...Le sigh...
Right now, I just have to know what little sewing machine is that that you have in the last photo? Do you use it to trim your fabrics (ie: serging) to prevent fraying whilst one stitches?
And NOW you have me hankering after those plastic drawer thingys.
I have an idea! Let's have our Stitchy Coni (TM), her very self, go from one blogger to another and we take pictures and organize to within an inch of our lives and have a grand time doing so! Ala Flat Muriel.... :) Are you game? :P
Hugs and Love to you and Stewie!
Jennifer
Thank you for the close-ups. Your ideas may seem simple to you, but to me, you're inspiring! I have no imagination and really appreciate seeing how you organize.
ReplyDeleteThank you again!
Nina
LOVING IT!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been following along the last few posts and just want to say how much I want my work area to look so organized just like yours. I have recently moved everything out of it because the hubs is installing some new flooring. Wanted to be able to sweep all my thread from my sewing projects that I have clipped all over the area up with a broom at the end of a project instead of dragging out the vacuum. It is black and white checked and it has brightened my area up a lot. I once had it organized but I have went from scrap booking and decorative painting and a little sewing to a lot of sewing and need to re-organize. I had a tabletop and a counter top piled and overflowing when I emptied the room out. I have painted a very old free dresser to help contain fabric and hubs has refitted an old gun case with a glass front with shelves for fat 1/4s that still need painting. And he built be a cutting table for my birthday so when I get it all back together I will share. Do not think that anyone will be as envious of my space as yours though it looks so calm. Hello to Stewey from Ladybug!
ReplyDeleteACK! My stuff is such a mess!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing the pictures. We can all live and learn through them. Elvis, the lap kitty who insists on reading your blog just to see what Stewy is up to,wonders why he has left that wonderful roundabout of Crescent Colours unmolested. It is afterall within paw's reach. He'll never understand the mind of a dog. Again, thank you for welcoming your cyber friends into your lovely home and being so kind.
ReplyDeleteBe Still, my beating heart!
ReplyDeleteNow we know we have found Stitcher's Heaven.
Whoo Hoo! Gotta love your organizing talents! I may incorporate a few of your ideas to create more order out of my stitchy mess of supplies...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
I'm so jealous...lol where did you get the clip it up hun? That's a great way to store your floss..
ReplyDeleteHugs, Shar
Lord, how organized you are! Wish I was same. Got a giggle yesterday. My daughter's moved back home, and her little dog, too. I thought of you when, at one point, I said "damn dog"! LOl
ReplyDeleteoh I a swoon as your craft area
ReplyDeleteOooo, I am currently cleaning/reorganizing my home office (so we can do our taxes). Then our bedroom (need to clean it out so we can redo walls/floor). THEN I will be reorganizing my stash/stitching room. I am leaving the best for last to motivate me. I LOVE touching and petting all my stash. Thanks for the inspiration. Our doggies Lady and Oreo say hi to Stewey.
ReplyDeleteAgain, pure inspiration. Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteblessings, jilly
ps. ignore pamelaric, California is the place to go..hehe
Coni, I am so jealous of your craft room. My poor husband thinks I have too much stash and all I have is one cabinet full. I would love for you to come help me organize all my floss and my little stitchy corner.
ReplyDeleteAmanda
Thank you so much for sharing your stash storage. Now we know why you can disappear there for a day or more and why it can take so long to organise your WIP's onto their own little basket of creativity - it must be so tempting to flip through your charts, waiting to see what calls out to you - AND - when selecting a chart, know that you will already have at least 98% of the floss ready to go...
ReplyDelete(at least it seems that way)
One day, in the not too distant future, when I can claim a room of my own for my stash, instead of taking over half the loungeroom with plastic tubs, I hope to look back to this post of yours to gain storage inspiration.
Thank you so much again Coni, and give Stewey a hug too!
I definitely have "organizational envy." What a beautiful room and things are arranged so beautifully. I think I'm going to use some of your ideas. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI think Scully and I may come shopping in your sewing room. Lol...Trudy
ReplyDeleteOh Good Golly - can we all just come over and play at your house??? I mean even on my most organized day - there's just no way!
ReplyDeleteDo you have every floss ever made?? If I pout do you think DH would let me get stuff like you?
You could post a pic like these every day and we'd be in heaven!
I can't believe that I spent all day Sunday reorganizing my specialty floss when the Clip It was out there just waiting for me to purchase it! Now to order a couple and reorganize all my floss again. Why hasn't Stewey told us all about this wonderful invention that would have made any of us stitchers swoon and allow him to water our drapes at will? LOL!
