OEY

Buzzy and I got in a bar fight.  He's hooked up to the Jiffy Lube at the moment and I am getting ready to close my eyes for round three.  We're a bit worse for wear kids, but my Jersey Boy will be home at eight tomorrow morning, so...it's all good.

No stitching to report.  I just haven't felt well enough to do so.  I am determined to get into that cube room studio and get a basket together, so stay tuned!  I am thinking that I might join in the Frosty Forest SAL...my very first!

OK, time to close my eyes and go to my happy place for a bit...back to Chez Spinster with snow softly falling down, the fireplace warm and toasty, Stewey on the ottoman, Jersey Boy in the kitchen making waffles, and all of you hanging out laughing and stitching.

Happy Futzingday!  Do something fun and come tell me all about it!

  2. Glad to hear you're holding as steady as can be and that he'll be back tomorrow morning. I swear that Baader-Meinhof phenomenon is freaky. That's where something you just read about, had happen etc. turns up again in the next few days. At our house it has gotten absolutely outta hand, it's crazy! But the wonder woman thing, unbelievable. That Frosty Forest thing is the cutest, I just noticed in (on Flosstube ha ha) right before I left. Take care, chill and plan away! Prayers and hugs as well...Robyn

  4. Sweet dreams! Just out of curiosity, is the bloody eye a normal side effect of dialysis?

  5. My eye does that and I am not on dialysis, so hopefully it will clear up soon for you too.

Hang in there, we are all pulling for you!

  6. Oh dear Coni! Do take it easy, I am glad JB will be back soon. A day under the covers sounds heavenly!! I am going to stitch on The Old Scot by Hands Across The Sea samplers this morning for a bit then visit the doctor this afternoon for more frustration. I swear, mine needs to go back to school! Hope you feel better soon. xo Mj

  7. I believe you will love the Frosty Forest SAL. They're always fun to be a part of; although I must admit that I only made the time frame of one SAL that I was part of. Something about deadlines always seem to freak me out. Oey, indeed. SO wishing hoping and praying things improve drastically for you, Coni! Love, hugs & prayers, Cathryn ♥♥♥

  8. Yikes!

When you said Buzzy is hooked up to the Jiffy Lube . . . does this mean you are actually posting during dialysis?

Best wishes for waffles, stitching and love in 2018.

  9. Hehe...I always think people look like the Undead when they have burst blood vessels in their eyes. You can stagger around (which might be very close to your real walk in these tough times), hold your arms out, make zombie noises, and scare the crap out of passers-by. :D

I hope things start to improve for you soon, Coni. It'll take a little time to get your dialysis tweaked so you don't feel like hammered $hit afterwards. There are things that can be adjusted, like how much fluid they pull off. Once they find the sweet spot you will indeed start to feel better.

Until then, rest as much as you need to, and put in a few stitches if you feel up to it. I've been eyeing Frosty Forest myself for some time...I've never done a SAL though, and am not sure if deadlines would suit me. January 1st I'm going to start Mirabilia's Snow Queen...the largest project I've ever done.
