Note to self...you cannot decide to put books away and start doing just that at 7PM and expect not to overdo it.

I. Am. Bushed.

Also, can anybody please explain to me how I ended up giving away a couple hundred books and I somehow don't have room for the ones that are left?  I have four full boxes left with nowhere to put them.  How the heck did that happen?

Tomorrow is bedroom day, and I fear the reality that I might have to rethink the furniture placement.  As much as I love that bed on an angle, I can't get to the clothes in the dresser!  I might have to be normal and put the bed centered on the wall like a big girl.  We'll see.

I also need to renegotiate the Happy Chair placement since having the table to my right is just not going to work...that stitchy light needs to be to my left, as does the place for my chart once I start stitching again.

OK.  Off to bed.  I am clean and shiny after a shower, and I managed to find some clean jams.

  2. Love your bookcases. I have sometimes wondered if and how books multiply in the night or some other time when we are not looking. Mine certainly seem to do so.

  3. Remember some were on those two small shelves that you found after you packed the big bookcase. They never go back the same way!!! It looks wonderful. You will sleep good tonite for certain.

  5. I had the same problem with the table/lamp being on the right but there was no way to move it to the left. So I found an Ott floor light that goes behind me on the left...end of shadows! Joann's always has sales and/or coupons on them. CS2 is looking so cozy!

  6. Hahaha...I once tried to have my lamp and table to the right. I kept dropping everything and had to get out of my chair to find it. Amazing how far a ball of Perle Coton will bounce. It was completely awkward!

But I do love the look of your Happy Chair corner! Happy Days Ahead!

  8. I always liked unpacking books because it got rid of a lot of boxes quickly! C'mon, there's plenty of space left: you forgot to put books across the tops of the others, in front of the others, and on top of the shelves!

  10. It is looking good!! I am sure it will take a little tweaking here and there to get everything perfect!

  11. Maybe you have money tucked between all the pages and it makes the books fatter?? ;) You're amazing us, Miss Coni. -p.

  12. Looking great! It's funny how every move entails figuring out how things work and involves tweaking and changing things.

  13. there is no reason the table and lamp can't be in front of the book case on the other side and you only have to move your chair a foot or so - you won't be using that part of the bookshelves that often that you need to reach behind the table/lamp and it would look fine...

  14. Your comment about the lamp on the left just made me realize why I'm not stitching so much any more - I keep sitting with the lamp to my right. Shadows everywhere! But you need to get a timer, girl! It's the only way I don't work myself into bed for days at a time.

  15. Sheryl's advice is what I was thinking, you have room behind the chair for a lamp that you can swing over your left shoulder when you're stitching. Maybe you could find a chart holder that you can clamp on to the bookshelf to the left of your chair (do they make such a thing?)

  16. The Happy Chair looks so comfy and inviting next to your books. WOW! I can't believe you got all those books shelved. Perhaps you could put the remainder of the books stacked singly on top of some of the already placed books (here and there not on every shelf). And you could place 3 or 4 books here and there in your bedroom and/or living room surfaces as decor. ??? Don't know if that would work for you or not. We all have our personal tastes. :) love, hugs & prayers, Cathryn ♥

  17. I, too, have the bookshelf to the left issue with my stitchy chair. I solved the light dilemma with an Ikea Jansjo LED wall/clamp spot light. Best ten bucks I have spent in a long time. The light it casts from the left eliminates the shadows from the right-side light. My solution was to add, not relocate, a light. I figure the 25,000 hours on the LED bulb should get me to the next decade. Julstitch

  18. Could you put the TeeVee in the corner the Happy Chair is currently in, and move the HC where the TV was? Might give you a view out of the big windows as well as a view of the TV. Its just a thought coz I don't know your floor plan totally.

  19. Can you not reconfigure the placement of chair to face the window view on an angle, allowing space for the light/table on the left and the TV straight on (cannot see
where it is hooked up) Books procreate in the night....
You have done remarkably well in so short a time... coast
for a bit and allow your creative juices to pump in new
    ideas....

  20. You do know that you don't have to unpack everything today, this week or even this month. There is a rule - if you find that you don't need it or haven't used it in two years --- get rid of it!!!!!
