LET THE GAMES BEGIN...

Meet my new best friend.

For some time now, I have contemplated buying an upholstery cleaner for the Happy Chair, the bedroom chair, areas of the bedroom carpet, and anyplace else that needs a periodic bath.  In the past, I've always called the people with the coupons to come do it for me, but it occured to me that for the cost of one of those cleanings I could have a machine of my very own.
So now I'm going to go read the directions and then send Stewey and Bosco to the movies for a few hours while I turn this place into a sparkling clean bastion of good smelling fabric nirvana.

What are you doing today?

  2. WE have a Bissell (upright style) carpet cleaner and Dennis keeps the carpets nice and clean...you are right, for the cost of a cleaning company visit you can have a machine...

  5. I'm supposed to be cleaning. After perusing the blogs, I'll probably end up doing crossword puzzles and dozing. Someday maybe I'll grow up and be responsible. ;)

  6. This is on my hubby's wish list. We have a spot bot, but he wants to replace it with one of these. Looking forward to your review.

  8. Have fun. Yes, you are right for the price of having it professionally cleaned you can buy your own machine. But, then you have to do all of the work. Been there done that. No thanks.

    1. Amen to that! Plus when you get the carpet/sofa cleaned, then you have to clean the machine. And that is a job unto itself. Good luck, Coni. Maybe Donna's hubby can take it off your hands!

  10. Be sure to use it frequently. I had a bissel, didn't use it over the winter, and come spring, it was broke. A few of the rubber connectors had dried out and the price to fix the machine was almost the same price as buying another one brand new.

  11. I had a Rainbow vacuum, what a job to use, but what a reward when you saw that filthy water. And we don't wear shoes in the house so I never knew where all that dirt came from. It was a pain to clean.
