WELL THAT WAS BRUTAL

Oey.  The one game that I decide to play nice and cheer cheer for old Notre Dame and we get our heineys handed to us on a crimson platter.  Man.  Broo-tal.

I'm afraid that I don't have any stitching to report since I was too busy watching the carnage, as well as writing lists and such for our upcoming trip to Cleveland.  I do want to thank you all for your concern that I am ailing, but please don't cry for me Argentina....it's Aunt Chrissy's party this time.  Never fear, dears.  She will be good as new as soon as the people over there in Buckeyeville fix her up, but happy thoughts and prayers are always welcome and appreciated.

Full report upon our return.  And in the event that any bad guys are reading this and are thinking about breaking into Chez Spinster while I'm gone, please feel free to push the Swiffer around on your way out.  I'll leave front door unlocked for ya'.

(I'm just kidding, of course.  In addition to a dear stitchy friend on standby, I have several nosy neighbors and a few ex-Marine special forces in unmarked vehicles keeping their eyes on the joint.  So enter at your own risk.  There could be major booby traps, I'm just sayin'.)

Have a happy week and a good weekend and we'll see you on the other side!

  1. I'm sorry that game was difficult to watch. I still get the shivers remembering one particularly bad Super Bowl that Chicago won...

It's a New Year and anything can happen. And often does.

  3. Sorry ND lost so badly to the Tide.....that's the way it goes sometimes. Being a Bears fan and living in Phoenix I'm used to losing teams!

Best wishes on your trip, hope everything works out well and Aunt Chrissy is on the mend soon. Take care and Happy New Year.

  5. It was very unfortunate but then I'm a Tide fan. I did feel sorry for the ND players though - they looked so stunned.

Best wishes to you and Aunt Chrissy on your upcoming adventures.

Yes, I heard something about that(ND-Bama); possibly from my screaming hubby in the next room. ;) Cathryn

  8. Hope Aunt Chrissy feels better soon! Sorry about the ND loss. We are Bears fans at our house. So, I can relate to the pain of loss. We had stitching night during the game, at our friend Betty's house. She is a big ND fan. Has 2 grandchildren that are current students there. She had her 'lucky' socks on, but it didn't help. I felt bad watching her disappointment.

  11. i will keep Aunt Chrissy in my prayers BUT what about poor Stewey and Bosco what will become of them? I have only left my Jackie once and when I called to check on her one of the kids working at the place said she just follows me around all the time and doesn't want to have anything to do with the other dogs or people. I felt so bad I told my husband we had to get home right away and cut our trip short one night only!
