OEY

So sorry for the long absence, my dear friends.  This sickness has totally knocked me for a loop.  Truth is, I don't remember when I've ever been this sick for this long.

The good news is that I seem to have lost enough weight that I no longer qualify for my own zip code, but the bad news is that I haven't had a needle in my hand in over three weeks.

Please bear with me....I'll be back as soon as I can.  Thank you for all of your lovely thoughts.

Coni

P.S.  Both Stewey and Aunt Chrissy send their love and affection and promise that they will continue to take good care of me.

  1. Well that's a crummy way to end the summer. I hope you're getting stronger every day, and that you can grab that needle before too long. It's the pits to go that long without enjoying needle and thread. Take care and come back soon! Hi to Aunt Chrissy, and to Stewey from me and Bailey (the cat who doesn't like dogs...won't let me have one...but is outside so she doesn't know I'm posting salutations on her behalf_ :-D

  3. Get well soon Coni. Prayers are being sent your way. Gotta say though, this doesn't sound like the best diet plan, particularly if you can't stitch! Take care of yourself and with the help of your nursing staff I'm sure you'll be stitching and blogging very soon.

    Coni,

I was wondering what happened and hoped it wasn't illness that was keeping you from posting. I only read your blog and one other and, oddly enough, you both stopped posting on the same day, so I've been terribly deprived for over 2 weeks now! I am so glad that you are feeling better. Get some good rest and know that, when you do return to full strength, your faithful readers will be right here.

PS - I'm so glad that you have Chrissy, Stewey, and (let's not forget) Bosco to take good care of you.

  24. I'm so glad to hear from you! I was really becomming quite concerned. I'm glad you are on the road to recovering, and look forward to when you have the energy to send out some more blogs. Please share my thanks to Chrissy, Stewey, and Bosco for taking care of you...and lets hope none of them come down with it. Stewey would never let us hear the end of that if it happened!

  25. Get well soon. It's going around. I have asthmatic bronchitis and an ear infection. Not fun is it? Don't even feel like stitching.

  26. Sorry you are still ill, hope you are better real soon. I am sure Stewey will take very good care of you. Maybe you should promise him a new jacket or something, just to make sure...LOL.

  27. Who knew that stitching takes so much energy? I get it completely - was quite sick last winter, had unplanned surgery - you'd think that sitting around recovering would be the perfect time to do tons of stitiching - but no!

Glad you are on the mend
