WE'LL BE BACK AFTER THESE MESSAGES...

My mom can't come to the blog right now. She's down with what we presume to be the flu. I just wanted you to know that I'm taking good care of her and that I safely tucked her into bed right after she raised her fist in the air shouting "Viva La 80's" after reading all of your comments about her unfortunate choice of hair style.

(Worse yet is that I'm pretty sure that I spied a pair of leg warmers on her tree trunks, so God only knows what's next.)

With love from your pal,
Stewey

  1. Take good care of her, Stewey!

We hope she feels better soon and is back at her stitching.

  3. Take good care of her Stewey...she really is a good mommy you know. I don't think Martha would put up with the drapery watering.

  4. Feel better soon. Nothing like a little snuggling from a furbaby to make the misery bearable!

  6. All that stress about Stewey possibly moving to Connecticut must have lowered your immunity. Don't worry, he knows he'll never have it better than he does at Chez Spinster!!! And see how he steps up to the plate when you need him? He's probably making chicken soup for you right now.

    One Long Panel is sublime.

I love 80's hairstyles (and 60's styles, too!). Bring on the hairspray!

Feel better soon -- a day without a post from you and Stewey is like a day without sunshine!

  8. Dear Stewey
I just made some tasty chicken soup last night....shall I send some over? Make her some hot tea...maybe a drop of something good added to make her feel better..

  9. Feel better soon. Can you stitch curled up with Stewey in the big girl sleigh bed? I hope so, though the long-panel-Perrin (which is lovely and so beautifully stitched) won't fit. I stitch bookmarks with my cats in our bed when I feel poorly. I think hairspray is fun, especially when combined with lighters - just kidding.

  11. Stewey, would some hot lemon juice, honey and hot water with Asprin help Mom feel better. It helps to break a fever from the flu bug. Anyway, I know you will snuggle up with your Mom and keep her warm.
Hope you are feeling better soon Coni.

  12. Stewey.... Take good care of your Mo-ther. Bring her tea with Honey (a little Schnapps wouldn't hurt, either!). Take yourself outdoors. Leave the curtains be.

We're no longer in the 80's.... Crap!

  14. Get well soon! Drink lots and lots of liquids! Take Tylenol and Ibuprofen, switching off every 4 hours. Also, go to the doctor, he will put you on Tamiflu. Netty pot is very good too!

  15. Well, if she's got the hair, and possibly the leg warmers, the next thing has to be the headband that wraps around the forehead. Of course, that set up will require a photo, so I hope you can snap one Stewey, even if you don't have thumbs. Meanwhile, take care of Mo-ther.
