AND THE AWARD GOES TO...

Miss Marcy at http://stitchingplus.blogspot.com/! I was kvetching over Frank's moutachio, and she suggested that I fill it in with french knots in a lovely comment she left a few days ago. Thank you, Marcy, from the bottom of my silly little heart. I think the french knots are exactly what the doctor ordered, don't you?

Only the hat brim and coat skirt to go....

Oh, and going to the Michael's or the Hobby Lobby to find itty bitty little red flat crystals for that tree he's holding in his hand!

Off like a herd of turtles...woo hoo!

  3. Cute idea! Looks great! (Although you are stuck making all those french knots. I personally can't stand making french knots, and mine usually show it, but yours look wonderful.)

By the way, you should definitely do a jingle bell for Frank's hat. :)

  13. Boy he's really coming along! Love the stash - mou-stash that is! Lots of knots though.

I am really interested in the ooey-gooey rice krispie treats that sounds like they are on steroids - is it a recipe you (or perhaps Stewey) will share?

Can't wait to see the finished project, crystals and all!

Keep warm - we got nailed yesterday with lots of blowing snow, over the ice...

  14. Love the french knots! Just a small suggestion - one time when I used a wonderful bargello stitch, I used several different whites and was able to 'see' the bargello pattern that I had painstakingly stitched :-)
