AND HERE WE ARRIVE AT MONDAY, ONCE AGAIN

The scene here at Chez Spinster is lovely and lazy for a Monday. Stewey awoke with the announcement that he intended to nap in the sun all day today and occasionally watch his little daisy grow.

Aunt Chrissy came to plant the garden on Saturday, so we will have farm fresh summer vegetables once again this year. We planted tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and broccoli in the garden bed and a few herbs and lettuces in the box thingie that shall heretofore be known as the herb and lettuce box.

I've managed to finish another block of Strawberry Shortcake and hope that I might be able to put thread to needle and needle to canvas all day today. We'll see how it goes.

I'm off like a herb of turtles. It's positively beastly outside today (at least for someone of my physical structure), so methinks a nice cold bevvie and some stitchy movie watching are exactly what will be on the official Spinster Stitcher Monday Afternoon Agenda As Was Approved By A Meeting Of The Executive Committee This Morning While Contemplating Getting Out Of The Big Girl Sleigh Bed.

So there.

  2. Coni -

I have been watching your Strawberry Shortcake --- and I am REALLY itching to buy it!

Is it as yummy as it looks?

I have done some needlepoint -- do you think a beginner could do this?

And if my newphew wasn't here I would be in my stitching room too. So, please stitch some for me!

  3. Stewey looks so happy in his sunny spot. Your patio looks very comfy too. Stitching all afternoon would be my first choice too.
