HAPPY DAISY DANCING!

I received a text message from Stewey (he's down in Louisville for the Derby, don't you know). He says the weather is lousy, but his pink hat was a big hit with the crowd. Methinks he's had one too many mint juleps. Damn dog.

  6. Me thinks you're cheating a bit with the daisy in the center... LOL... but it looks FABULOUS! Love the entire piece!

Hopefully Stewey didn't steal the hats while in Looeyvul. Silly dog.

  7. I'm double posting just to make sure no one misunderstands the "cheating" comment...it's midnight here and I was just goofing. Please focus more on the fact that I think it looks fabulous, k? Cuz it does.

  8. Coni - it troubles me to tell you that my Carmen, also at the races, texted me that she had met her soulmate in a pink hat and they were off to get matching tattoos. Sorry.

  14. Coni, this blog and your stitching have become one of the highlights of my days/weeks, etc. I discovered your blog a week ago and have spent every spare minute reading it, starting with the first entry so that I could catch up. I felt like the Evelyn Couch character in Fried Green Tomatoes (love that movie); she looked forward to her visits with Miz Threadgoode so she could hear all the stories about Idgie. I love your writing and your dog. (I owned a pair of JRTs, and when you own a pair, you might end up with six little JRTs).
I have several questions, which I'll save for another time, but the most burning question of all is: Even though I'm older than you are, will you adopt me?
Thank you for being such a special part of the happy parts of my day.
